Miracle #1

For where two or three gather in my name,
there am I with them.
Mathew 18:20
Lily is on a medicine to keep her heart rhythms steady that is finally working. At 6pm they took her off the pacer, and she is doing really well! About a half hour ago Lily lifted her hand looking for mine, and even opened her eyes and nodded her head at my prompts. Happy happy tears in CICU Room 383! They are trying to warm Lily now, and this is typically a catalyst for problems...keep those prayers coming friends.
I am humbled and stand in awe at how the body of Christ has surrounded our daughter Lily in prayer.  I continue to tell Lily about all the people who love her and are praying to God for a princess sized miracle just for her!  If you know Lily, you know she likes that.  Also, all of those encouraging and comforting bible verses many of you have sent are being whispered into Lily's ear.  Lily's nurse last night and tonight is a Christian, and she has been a wonderful support to me through these long "alone" hours.  Coincidence that she would be Lily's nurse...I think not!

  2. Although not in a situation as dire as yours, I know what it is like to walk through the valley that seems darker and colder than anything you have ever experienced. We have been contending for the life of a child in China since February. The opposition the enemy has thrown at us has been almost overwhelming so many times, I have lost count. But every time I felt I could not last another moment, the Lord reached into my distress and touched my exhausted spirit- the absolute perfect Bible verse, saying, pictures, email, encouragement. The timing, just like the night nurse being a Christian, defies probability. We have a mighty God who cares about our distress and knows just when His touch will mean the most and do the most for us.

I am praying for you and precious Lily. I rejoice with the gains of this evening. Those are hugely significant.

The Lord your God is with you, he is mighty to save.
He will take great delight in you, he will quiet you with his love, he will rejoice over you with singing.
    Zephaniah 3:17

May Lily not hear the noise of medical equipment and monitors, but voice of Him singing over her.

  3. I can only echo sweet corinnec's comments above. The valley seems so very dark and we feel so alone. learn to hear His voice singing over you like never before. Meditate on His guiding and loving you and your sweet princesses all in their Abba's lap. Rejoicing in this miracle for sweet Lily. May YHWH continue to sing over you.

  4. And know that many others of us, even though we are not Christians, believe in God and the power of prayer and are also lifting your family up. Joyful to read of her progress - just wonderful!
