Day 3 - Slow and Steady

I would describe today as slow and steady.  Lily has been fairly stable for most of the day.  They have finally been able to warm her to 96.8F as long as her Procainimide (heart rhythm medicine) is WAY up.  Our sweet girl was pretty agitated for much of today since they want her to have more "awake" time, but with that comes discomfort.  Our goal is that Lily stays stable throughout the night, and that she goes a lot of "Ni Neu" (pee pee).  Our prayer is that they can extubate her sometime tomorrow.  Lily wants that yucky tube out of her nose!!!!

Our beautiful miracle girl...

The Lord your God is with you, he is mighty to save.
He will take great delight in you,
he will quiet you with his love, he will rejoice over you with singing.
Zephaniah 3:17

  6. We have been studying Ecclesiastes in church. Several weeks back, our pastor spoke about the importance of walking through the 'valley' experiences with your eyes wide open. The Lord can produce such great spiritual growth in us if we do. And we strike deep into enemy territory. I had this image of being just a flash, not doing much to further the kingdom.Or being a huge threat in the war for lost souls. I wrote this in my notes:

Embracing the lessons of the valley -- the difference between being a flash of fireworks in the face of the enemy,
or a guided missile into the heart of his stronghold.

Through your testimony- adopting this child with full knowledge of her prognosis, and maintaining such Faith and hope- you are missile into the very face of the enemy.

Praying for all of you and for the supernatural touch of our Healer for Lily.
